Full-page screenshots for QA testers
Capture complete pages, number each defect, redact test data and send developers one clear file.
Testing produces evidence, and evidence is only useful if developers can see exactly what you saw. Capurize captures the whole page in one step and lets you mark every defect before the file leaves your machine.
Common problems
- Bugs below the fold are cut off by ordinary screenshots.
- Several separate screenshots per ticket are hard to follow.
- Test environments often show real-looking personal data.
- Issues inside scrolling tables or panels are hard to show in full.
How Capurize helps qa testers
Whole page in one capture
Full-page capture scrolls and stitches the page so the defect is shown in context.
Numbered defects
Numbered markers let tickets refer to “#3” instead of describing positions.
Scroll capture for tables
Capture a long table or log that scrolls inside its own panel with Capture with scroll.
Redaction built in
Remove emails, names and IDs from screenshots before they are attached to tickets.
Recommended settings
Set these once in Capurize Options (right-click the Capurize icon → Options).
| Setting | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| File-name pattern | {domain}_{date}_{time} | Captures sort by site and time automatically. |
| Wait after each scroll | 400 ms | Gives lazy-loaded content time to appear. |
| Hide sticky headers & footers | On | Fixed headers appear once instead of on every screen. |
Tips
- Capture the page after reproducing the bug, not before, so the broken state is visible.
- Copy a single page into the ticket with Ctrl+C; export a PDF when the report spans several pages.
- Capture the same page at a narrow window width to document responsive issues.
Workflows for qa testers
Create a bug report with annotated full-page screenshots
Capture the page where a bug appears, number each problem, and send developers one clear file they can act on.
Review a built page against the design
Check an implemented page against the design, mark every difference and send one ordered list of fixes.
Document a support issue without exposing customer data
Capture what the customer sees, remove personal information, and paste a clean image into the ticket.
Questions
Can I capture pages behind a login?
Yes. Capurize captures what your browser shows, including logged-in pages and staging environments.
Does it work with single-page apps?
Yes. For apps where content scrolls inside a panel rather than the page, use Select region and Capture with scroll.
