Full-page capture works by scrolling the page and stitching screens together. A few common page designs interfere with that. Here is what causes each problem and how to fix it.
Blank or grey areas
Cause: the page loads images only when they scroll into view (lazy loading), and the capture moved on before they appeared.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page once before capturing.
- In Capurize Options, increase “Wait after each scroll” to 400 ms or 1 second.
The header repeats down the image
Cause: a fixed or sticky header stays on screen while the page scrolls, so it appears in every screen.
- In Capurize Options, keep “Hide sticky headers & footers” on. The header is kept in the first screen only.
Only the top of the page is captured
Cause: the page itself doesn’t scroll; its content scrolls inside a panel. This is common in web apps, email and chat tools.
- Use Select region, drag over the scrolling panel and press S to capture with scroll.
The page keeps growing
Cause: infinite scroll loads more content as you reach the bottom.
- Scroll to the point you want to capture to, then capture; or use Select region to capture a defined part.
“Chrome does not allow extensions to capture this page”
Chrome blocks all extensions on its own pages (chrome://…) and on the Chrome Web Store. Capture works on ordinary websites.
