Keep a dated record of a web page for compliance
Record exactly how terms, prices or disclosures appeared on a page on a given date.
You’ll need
- The page to record
Steps
- Set a dated file nameIn Options set the file-name pattern to {domain}_{date}_{time}_{title}.
- Capture the full pagePress Alt+Shift+P so the record includes the entire page, not just the visible part.
- Export without editsExport straight away as PNG and PDF without annotations, so the record shows the page unaltered.
- Store securelyMove the files to your organisation’s records system. Capurize keeps the original in your browser until you delete it.
Result: An unedited, dated full-page capture of the page, in image and PDF form.
Tips
- A screenshot is a useful record but may not meet formal evidence standards on its own. Ask your legal team what they require.
- Note the URL and the time zone with the record.
